The central theme of this event is 'Water in the Circular City' which will be explored in a Masterclass, Poster Exhibition, Workshop and Public Debate.
Masterclass, 13:00 - 16:30 @ Expo Room
In this masterclass on “The sustainable urban transition: water & energy” students in Environmental Geography and Urban & Regional Planning will represent the findings of their research on Kennisactienetwerk Water, conducted for the Citylab Buiksloterham in collaboration with researchers from the Centre for Urban Studies.
Poster exhibition, 17:00 - 17:30
The masterclass will be followed by a special poster exhibition “Water in the Circular City” that is open for public.
Workshop Water in the Circular City, 17:30 - 19:45 @ Kleine Zaal
During this workshop innovation manager Maarten Claassen will conduct an interview with Wieger Dulfre (Waterschap) and Johan Bel (Waterfabriek), followed by a roundtable discussion.
Public debate: Democracy in the Circular City, 20:00-22:00 @ Kleine Zaal
How do we make use of democracy in the circular city? The day will end with a public debate on the democracy in the transition to a sustianable circular city. You are also able to follow the debate through the livestream. The debate is moderated by Rindert de Groot (Empowerplant/Studio Zeitgeist) and Roelof Kruize (Waternet), Peter Dortwegt (Patch 22), Marien Abspoel (selfbuilder Oosterwold) and Eef Spronck (De Cooperatieve Samenleving & De Gezonde Stad) will all contribute during this debate. Governors, policymakers, innovators, academics and everyone else who is interested are invited to join!
