My PhD research explores the relationships between people’s use of public spaces and their auditory environments, in a public space context, to develop insights that can feed into urban planning and  design practices as well as policy. My efforts are focused on encouraging sound awareness and more broadly recognizing the multisensory dimension of the urban experience both among city users as well as city makers.
