This masterclass invites PhD candidates and advanced masters students to join Professor Steffen Jensen in exploring interdisciplinary perspectives on violence, citizenship and exchange relations in cities across the world.
|Date||22 October 2018|
|Time||13:00 - 15:00|
What is the relation between violence, exchange relations and citizenship? What role does it play in urban politics and the configuration of power? How do state and non-state actors, including criminals and police, use violence to maintain their position? How does displacement relate to violence? How are gender, class and race inequalities created and reinforced through violent exchange relations? How does violence relate to the citizenship? This masterclass invites PhD candidates and advanced masters students whose research involves such questions to join us in exploring interdisciplinary perspectives on violence, citizenship and exchange relations in cities across the world.
