A call for Seed Grants has now opened. Seed Grants are awarded to assist our members developing new initiatives, to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue, and to stimulate original research in the field of Urban Studies.

Seed Grants in 2018

In the first round of 2018 three grants are awarded with a maximum of up to €1.500 per grant. The Centre for Urban Studies Seed Grants aim to bring different people together to discuss ongoing research, or to create a platform to develop and/or get additional feedback on research proposals. The deadline for submission for this round is the 29th of March. A second call will open late 2018.

Previously awarded Seed Grants

Over the past years, more than 25 grants have been awarded to a wide range of promosing initiatives and projects. Previous grants have proven to be the seed of numerous lectures, publications, seminars, conferences, new research projects and collabarations with societal stakeholders.

Examples of current initiatives are the Cities and Mobilities seminar series, the Platform Urban Commons of Culture, and the Critical Comparative Urbanism seminar series.
