At the end of May 2020, just when the corona situation improved some, I walk through the city together with Jelke Bosma. He researches AirBnB and compares cities like Berlin, New York and Amsterdam. How should we look at our city now that it is unoccupied by tourists? We look at the role of AirBnB and how corona impacts this role. Less than a year later we look at how things are for the platform.
In the Anderhalf NAP podcast Sjoerd ter Borg interviews urban scholars about the structural effects that corona has on the city. Each episode consists of two talks with the same researcher with an interval of almost a year. Have their ideas on the consequences of the pandemic for the Amsterdam city life changed in one year’s time?
